Monarda ‘Peter’s Purple’ is a hybrid of M. fistulosa ‘Claire Grace’ and a Mexican species, Monarda bartlettii. ‘Peter’s Purple’ has an excellent floral display with large numbers of purple flowers produced in June - August. The floral display and other characteristics are quite similar to ‘Claire Grace’. Cherished by butterflies and hummingbirds. Makes an excellent cut flower. Grow in full sun and average to moist soil with good drainage. 3’ – 5’ tall. Peter's Purple will tolerate drier soils.
