Evergreen native pine tree 80-125 ‘tall with a 30-40-‘ spread but often seen smaller. Seedlings show no development for the first 5 yrs looking like a clump of grass. When the time is right, the young pine bolts upward, as much as 3-5’ in the first year. Bright green needles are up to 14” long & flexible, giving a weeping effect to the tree. New buds are silvery white during winter. Grow in full sun/ partial shade on well-drained, acidic soil. Seeds form a significant food source for birds and other wildlife. Our most majestic pine.
