Grows 2-3’ tall and 1- 2’ wide. Blooms throughout the summer. Tolerates heat, drought and a wide range of soils except poorly-drained wet ones. Likes full sun with some afternoon shade. Short-lived perennial or annual but remains in the garden through self-seeding. Lovely in borders, annual beds, cottage gardens and wild gardens. Does well in meadow plantings in groups or mass plantings. Good cut flower.
