Easy to cultivate; one of the most popular carnivorous plants in horticulture. Leaves are hollow with an open, partially covered top. Water collects in these pitchers and insects are trapped, decomposed, and partially absorbed by the plant. Spring flowers hang at the tip of leafless stems, facing downward. Keep moist to wet with 5 or more hours a day of direct sun.
