Flamboyant carnivorous plant, with the top third or more of each pitcher pigmented white and innervated with green and/or red veins. Leaves are hollow with an open, partially covered top. Water collects in these pitchers and insects are trapped, decomposed, and partially absorbed by the plant. Red spring flowers hang at the tip of leafless stems, facing downward. Keep moist with 5 + hours a day of direct sun.
