Thin sprays of arching bright-yellow flowers occur at the top of sturdy, erect, 2-5 ft stems from late summer until fall, covering the plant in a lacy mantle of blossoms. Provides nectar and pollen for bees and butterflies. Grows best in a sunny, moist well-drained site. Use as a butterfly nectar plant, grouping or mass planting in a wildlife garden or meadow.
